Me and the other half like to go to the BANFF film festival ever year. Unfortunately, we don't actually have to go to Banff (which is in Canada) as the festival tours 40 countries. You will never sit in a cinema with so many people wearing man made fibres. The original festival showcases the best mountain adventure films of the year. Each showing generally has around 8 films of varying length, and you generally leave feeling incredibly warmed by the level of human ingenuity, perseverence and love for life. If there is an event to get you off the sofa to do something a bit beyond your comfort zone, then this is it. Google it, and go. The Ocean festival tours the UK this Autumn. The Mountain festival comes back early next year. The link on this blog is to one of the most memorable films from the 2014 Ocean festival. Its simply inspiring. Enjoy.
